Axle question

How many Splines on my axles? 28 or 31? looking to go 4.11's with a Detroit Locker wanna know how many splines our axles are truck is a 73 F100 came with a 6 and Column Shifted

you will have to find out. pull a axle and count them. most ahd 28's some had 31's

i tried to pull em once and gave up how do you pull em out?

take the drum off then unbolt the 4 nuts holding it in and pull out.
