ok, i have Windows XP. i had my friend build me this computer, hes really good but... i seem to be having some problems with it. i had him install a DVD burner in it.
anyways. when i put a Cd in the drive it gives me the options to-
1-Play the Cd,
2-Copy music from the Cd
3-open folder to view files using windows explorer
4-take no action
so, when i put in a DVD, it DOESNT give me the option ( #2 ) to copy it.
i cant find any way to store it to the computer, so i can copy it off the computer.
There are several programs that will let you copy from DVDs. DVD Decrypter is one of them that copies the DVD to your hard drive and removes any region info.
2nd here for dvd shrink - it works , just make sure you don't have the new 8.5GB dvd's, you can't copy them onto 4.5GB even after taking the other languages and crap off.

Are you trying to copy a protected DVD (copywrited movie) or something you video'ed yourself? If a copywrited DVD, you have to find a DVD program that will (usually illegal) copy it. If you simply copy something you made yourself with a DVD or digital VTR or movie camera, the MicroSoft Windows Media Player should copy it for you.
