manifold question

I was looking at my truck today and found that there are four holes in the manifold two on each side, next to the carburetor, what would these be for, they look to almost have a little oil coming from them, it is an edelbrock intake, the truck is a 79 f-150 4X4 with a 351M

They are for 4 5/16-18 bolts.

I believe those bolts clamp the manifold down over the exhaust crossover. Numbers 9, 10, 11 and 12 in the picture if I'm right. Having bolts to do that would be a good idea.
