Brakes are hard
i have a 79 f-150 4X4 and the brakes are really really hard like there is no power brakes, i was just reading a post that said there is a vacuum pump on some motors, would my motor be one of those, it is a 351 m, the motor itself also has a bad miss to it, so i am wondering if maybe there is somethin screwy with the vacuum thru the whole system or what

The fact that it has a miss and hard brakes could go hand in hand.
The power brake system uses engine vacuum to operate properly.
Check all vacuum connections and hoses. One or more could be off or leaking.
Or the booster itself could be at fault.
