No lift. Keeping the stock rims for a while-kinda like 'em(5 spoke aluminium) Maybe some tuning mods later, as well. Only drive it about 8-10,000 miles a year (sold my '01 w/51,000 last week) Taking it to Mammoth on monday. Can't wait.
Let me know where you stay in Mammoth we a re planning a trip as well in the winter need places for lodging. Have fun.
I love the Moonroof, hope the Sunroof is as good. You gotta have a CC to have the hole in the roof and that is a great cab. rock solid.
Ford SD has a quiet roof hole, even at highway speed. Wife' s Honda had to get a deflector put in front of the roof hole, otherwise it sounded like a helicopter was landing on the roof.
Hope you have a ball with that big V10 CC. They are a hoot machine for sure.
BFR250SD, I hear you got to be Sir Donald's body guard. Right on and I am still looking forward to you posting Stateside. Take care Rich.

Yeah, that was joy. I hate cheese shows and really don't get a big kick out of doing photo ops, meet and greets, and being with stuffy politicians. Had dirt comin' out of every orifice of my body after the birds landed.
But, you do what is asked of you.
I'll be glad to be posting back stateside. At least I'll actually have something to post about the truck. 29 days and I'm outta here. Yeeee Haaa!
BFR250SD I remember the short timer jokes when I was in Ramstein Germany in the 60s. 29 days is short - your so short you can walk under a door without opening it.
When I got to germany I had 36 months to go. They put me in a room with two guys that has 29 days and 26 days to go, I couldn't even calculate how many days I had to go. Of course Germany was easy duty compaired to what you are doing. Merry Xmas and come home safe..
Hey BFR, I spent a Christmas in Iraq back in '90. It was a lot less dangerous then but still no fun. No internet in those days either. Anyway, best of luck, get home safe and spend lots of time with the family. We'll understand if ya dont post for a few weeks!
Just got back from Mammoth Mountain; 8000 ft + elevation. In 5 days, about 40" of snow dropped and temps were in the low 30's and high 20's. No issues at all. Never slid and was on some pretty good inclines heading to the lifts.
Awesome truck. Encountered 60 mph headwinds most of the 360 miles home so gas mileage sucked - about 11mpg.
Ford Trucks are the official vehicle of Mammoth Resorts, by the way...

Sounds like it was a blast and yoou made it down the mountain with no broken bones lol. Where did you stay? we are looking to take a trip soon.
Yeah I was just in those winds myself a couple of days ago returning from Colorado. The wind grabbed a car door an sprung it on my caravan. I've never seen so much wind for so long, yet not associated with a storm. Really unusual. Probably helped my gas mileage though.

In all my years of driving, I have never seen a TOTAL restriction on over size vehicles; full size vans, campers, rv's, semi's, buses. Only cars and trucks allowed. It was a stretch of about 100 miles; it was started by a Interstate Battery truck (empty, of course) that flipped earlier on saturday.
I think my mileage was decreased by at least 3-4 mpg with the headwind.
