Tire Sizes
Hey guys new here to the site and new to owning a '90 Bronco II. I been looking into getting some new tires for mine, Bridgestone Dueler M/T is what I am looking to get. I know the little trucks call for 205/75/15 tires but I am looking to get 235/75/15. Currently there is no lift and its running the stock alum. rims. This is an Eddie Bauer edition if it makes a difference on the rims. Thanks in advance for any advise on tire sizes.

The largest tire you can run without any rubbing will be somewhat dependent on the indivdual characteristics of your truck, but most of the time the answer is 235/75R15. My 235/75R15's will rub the swaybar at full steering lock (if I have the swaybar installed), but otherwise aren't a problem. Engineering data for the tires I've looked at suggest that there's less than 1/2 inch difference in the diameter of a 235/75R15 and 30/9.5R15, so I expect the latter will also fit pretty well in a BII. I've tried the 31/10.5R15's from my Explorer on my BII, and they rub as the suspension flexes and while turning, but I'm sure there are those out there who could tolerate it. One on this forum recently even claimed to have put 31's on his stock BII (no lift or anything) without rubbing.
