I have a 1986 F-250 4X4 and i can not get the back breaks to blead properly.
It will bleed but still not have any presure at the rear. it has new pads wheel cylenders and so on. its not geting air but will not build presure i have had 3 difrent master cylenders on the truck still the same thing. The only thing i have not changed is the thing the break line goes into near the rear end it ataches to the box and the axel. could that be the problem? and if so were do i get it from?
Are your rear brakes adjusted properly, do you have good fluid flow from the bleeders. When you push your emergency brake, does it go clear to the floor easily, if itdoes you need to adjust your rear shoes up.......
it could be the rear brake hose has collapsed, could be the proportioning valve also, as previous poster suggested check the simple things first proper brake adjustment , push e brake down should lock rear wheels if anywhere near proper adjustment, check for sufficient brake fluid flow at bleeders etc..... good luck should be a simple fix
