1961 F250 VIN Decoding and Misc Q's

Hello,

My father just inherited a 1961 unibody F250 4X4, VIN# F25CR161153. Does anyone know how to decode this?

Also, does anyone know what type of electrical system this truck came with? 12V? Alternator? Generator?

Any other info you'd like to share on this year would be greatly appreciated (or web links where I can find more info!)

Thank you for your help

Post the other codes, and someone here will decode those for you too. (motor, axles, etc) I don't think the unibody F250 4x4 is very common. I though they normally had the mismatched 60 bed.

12V - Generator

What do you want to know? Don't be afraid to ask questions here - someone is sure to have an answer. Do searches in this forum too - it's a impressive knowledge base.

I will mention the 61-64 F100, 65-66 F100, and 61-66 F250's are not the same in all respects. pay attention to what group is being discussed. If there is any doubt - ask!

Oh yeah, welcome to FTE.
