a friend of mine has a bronco for sale...but it's not like any other bronco II i've ever seen, it's called a "Plus". this bronco has about 1 1/2 foot of more room in the back and about a foot more headroom. this is on the fiberglass back...not on the metal, but you can't take this off, it goes all the way to the bottom of the truck and is like part of the truck. it has a 2.8 with auto tranny and is four wheel drive. have you guys ever heard of one of these? it's the first one i've ever seen and i think it's pretty neat. he wants $350...is it a pretty good deal??
Hmm i have 2 dealer brochures one from 89 and one from 87 and i havent seen any information on these, only one i didnt know about was the Bronco II sport that had a black grille,a tubular rear black bumper and special paint. Id love to know what year it is and more about this.
it is a 1989 earlier...i will try to get a pic of it in the next couple days...it is for sure called a plus...it says it on the back where the fiberglass goes down...it's really cool, i might get some money saved up and buy this thing!
Mystery solved. the bronco II plus was one of a few modified bronco IIs that a INDEPENDENT company made and sold as a conversion vehicle. It featured a fiberglass rear and was about a foot longer. Other then that it was stock. There was also another one of these "independent company" bronco II which was the sherrard bronco II that had a completely removable roof.
that's it!!! this one's gray and black, but that's the exact same thing, man you guys know your stuff. well...what do you think one of these things are worth?
if you do get it i would deffinatly put a helper spring on the rear end of it. the normal once sag bad in the rear.. the pic of the Plus looks likes it could pull the front tires off the ground if you gas it hard enough due to the added rear weight. (i know the picture is not the one your getting) safetly would be my main concern. though it is a cool looking concept.
you should look for a sherrard B ii i know alot of people make them by just cutting off the roof and making a sick looking bronco II mini pickup but the idea of being able to take the top off and put it back on its really cool get some pics if you come across one
i've never seen one before, i bet they are cool. yeah, the rear end sags on this one too, but i don't know if it's because of the new transmission in the back too.
so wut your saying is there is a tranny inside the back of the truck? if there is i definalty would say yes tha is the cuase even thou the b II is prone to have back suspendtion in the rear sag that would make ne light trucks suspendtion look atleast a little different i sugest asking him to take it out and then look at it
