Well I am no authority on the subject, but I can testify that the king cab {4 door} truck was buit in 77 and 78. I currenty own a 78 king cab it also has the long bed which I sometimes wish was shorter.
The truck is almost 21 feet long. A little hard to get into the driveway.
The earliest model of a ford crewcab that I have seen was a 1965 model ---and it was for sale on ebay---don't know about the super cab-----I think the supercab came out in or around 74 or 75 ---I'm partial to the 67 to 77 year models myself---especially 4x4's --they just look cool---You'll really enjoy whatever model you end up with---maybe if we are all lucky---the folks who buy and fixup the older trucks will outlast the beaurcrats that would like too crushum'---hope you find the particular model you're looking for(d), fd
