Rear pinion angle

I was wondering what the exact science is on rear pinion angles is. My F250 pinion orignially had the drive shaft about 5 deg or so above the axle input. After the 6 inch suspension lift, the axle input is about 5 deg above the drive shaft. Just wondering what the word is.

If you have the CV joint then there is no real need to worry about the angle difference between the trans and the axle as the CV joint will cancel out the speed change in the rotation of the u-joints.

Your main concern then would be a bind in the u-joint.
