Trans. options

I am Looking at changing out the standard 4 speed manual trans. I am just wondering what My options are. The truck is a 1985 F-250 with the 6.9L. I was wondering what would bolt up. I would like a 7 or 9 speed I don't know how much room I have to work with. I know a 5 speed will bolt up easy but I am looking for something strange that you don't see everyday. Power is not a problem because I just order that Banks exaust the Sidewinder It was very expencive but should be worth it.

Have you considered a Gear Vendors Overdrive.........

easiest/cheapest would be to get a ranger overdrive from advance adapters.

basically a manually shifted overdrive.
plus you'd get the neat factor of having two sticks to shift.
