Air Cleaners

Many of you seem to swamp your buggies in mudholes and such... wondering what kind of air cleaners you're wearing. I have an '85 250 w/ chrome edelbrock open air cleaner.... I don't swamp, but I DO plow snow in salty parking lots and that filter lasts about a month at most before it's wearing so much crud you can't recognize it. Any suggestions about what will keep it breathing but defend itself against the elements a while longer.?.

The factory housing will do the best job of keeping crap off your filter. It's what I use, but I tossed a K&N in there as well.

We have a K&N with a sandwich top and bottom, open element, we have one of those foam K&N prefilters to throw over the outside for situations that demand it, its easier to clean
