bumper/frame problems?
Hi all,
I have a 78 shortbed that is almpost finished. I ordered a 73-77 bumper (like the looks better and it was cheaper) from JCW and when I gotr it the top bumper holes were missaligned. Bumper went on crooked. pass side was about 1/4 inch from the grill and the d-side was 1 3/4 inches away. I got another one, same thing. Then I noticed the frame wasnt even either. the d-side frame sticks out more than the pass-side frame rail. ??. Why would this be? Truck has no frame damage. It tracks straight, and no panels are missaligned I could make the bumper even by enlargening the frame hole one the d-side to push the bumper bolt up but I shouldn't have to do this. I am truly stumped. Could this be a bad build from the factory?
