Production Figures '53-'56

Does any one know the approximate production figures for the F-350 express pick ups made in the 50's ('53-'56)? I have the total figures per year, but I am after the F-350 pick up figures. I have been told that they were in and around 355 for '55, but have not been able to confirm or negate this figure. I do not know where to look for these numbers, and Ford has not been able to help me either.

Your number of 355 units for 55 is way LOW! These figures are for F-350's only and there were no f250 or f350 panels produced.

1953 F-350

platform 86 units

chassis/cab 5,151 units

pickup 7,757 units

chassis cowl 375 units

chassis windshield 201 units

Stake 2,202 units

Total for 1953 15,772 units produced

1954 F-350 production figures

Platform 217

cab/chassis 5,642

pickup 4,482

chassis/cowl 546

chassis/windshield 242

stake 2,758

Total for 1954 13,887 units produced

1955 F-350 production figures

platform 272

chassis/cab 7,114

pickup 5,450

chassis cowl 883

chassis windshield 284

stake 3,504

Total for 1955 17,507 units produced

1956 F-350 production figures

platform 387

chassis cab 11,482

pickup 6,226

chassis cowl 1,226

chassis windshield N/A

stake 5,019

total for 1956 24,340 units produced

Hope this answers your questions.

Contents were taken from Ford Pickup Red Book. Published by Motorbooks International 1993.

MOTOR books are those big fat blue hard covered reference books (about 8.5 X 11 X 3) that you see in your local library or all grease covered at your local joe blow garage. sorta like those big, fat Chilton manuals...

Hahahaha. You think you make funny for siwwy monkey to laff. I was actually being serious about where to get a copy of the book. I have the manuals, the parts catalogs (just got a 48-55 big job catalog), and lots of catalogs. I have not seen the book mentioned, but I think I have heard it in reference before. I would like a copy to add to my Ford library located at what I am now calling the Ford Truck Retirement Center (lol).

No, I was serious.

As far as finding one to buy.....

Used book stores

Maybe at amazon.com

Maybe Ebay....

Auction sales for old garages being shut down.....

There's motorbooks international who make books on all types of cars on restoration, history and modifications.

Motor Manuals are what ferguson referring to, used in garages for labor and part removal/installation.

The same information is available in "Standard Catalog of Light-Duty Ford Trucks" by John Gunnell. It's available for around $20 on eBay and through various book stores.
