Question 428 Engine swap

I picked up a 67 428 and I want to install it in my Dad's 66 F250. The truck currently has a 352 with a manuel trany. The 428 was mated to a auto. Can I use the 352 clutch and flywheel with a pilot bearing or do I need to find one?
Thanks Tony

428's were external balanced at the flywheel or flexplate end. You"ll need a 428 flywheel or have the balance shop drill out a standard flywheel. This is one reason when building motors to have heavy metal added to the crank and flywheel "zero balanced", easy to change flywheels or auto to stick without vibration problems. Do you still have the 428 flexplate? Take it and flywheel to get surfaced then balanced to the flexplate, then have the pressure plate balanced.

No, on autos they don't install a pilot bushing, just add one going auto to stick. I went auto to stick to auto on the 410 but had the crank internally balanced (I used a chunk of brain) years ago.

I don't know nuthin about nuthin, but my auto to manual swap went without any problems. Just another FE drop-in. LOL

Course I didn't have the problem of dropping in a 428, methinks I'm jealous.
