I start my truck this morning to go to work and discover that my Isspro pyrometer will only read ambient temperature, nothing more. The needle moves up from zero when I turn on the key so I know the guage is still working.
Anyone dealt with this before?
Maybe The Probe Has Gone Bad.
I Have The Isspro Gauges Also But Have Not Had A Problem With Them.
My Probe Is Post Turbo And My Gauge Is Color Coded For Post Turbo As Well.
I Have Heard Of Probes Melting In The Pre Turbo Position Like Yours Is But I Know You Have'nt Had Yours In Very Long.
Also .... Do You Have Amplifier Boxes For You Gauges That You Mounted Up Under The Dash. I Had Problems With A Tranny Temp Gauge On My Other Truck At One Time But The Gauge Would Not Register Any Thing. Ended Up Being A Wire That Had Pulled Loose From The Terminal On The Amplifier.
I have read of a Isspro probe or 2 going bad, not melting as Refugio stated. Also read Isspro stands behind their stuff and will replace it no charge. I've got the same gauges and hope this isn't a trend. So far no problems.
Kwik, just tell 'em you're a moderator on FTE and can infleunce the decisions of numerous future buyers. LOL
I didn't even need to go that far! I talked with one of the support tech's there. Tried a few of his suggestions and he decided that they need to send me a whole new kit. They don't even want the old one back.
OUTSTANDING customer support.
Maybe you sucked up a duramax when you went smokin by and you just havent realized it yet. Take a look at the rear of your truck you may just be surprised!!!

That's great to hear since I have the same gauges. I think I've read at least 1 or 2 posts on this or other forums of every gauge manufacturer having a pyro go bad once in a while. It's nice to know Isspro supports their stuff so well.
