Im Glad to get rid of the stock airbox as the clips were starting to break off ! My turbo sure whistles more with the Filter Mod. My ol' lady keeps givin me heak for turning the stereo down to listen to the whistle. Thanks for the great info.

Mine is an early 99 as well, mine barely fits in there, just about pushing on the fender well. Anyway, i think the boot from the CCV point to the filter are the same, just from the CCV to the turbo is different. I do remember turning the filter some as to get the tube to angle down and the bottom of the filter is catching on the battery tray. Like posted earlier, getting all the grease and contaminents off to start with will help out tremendously.

Hey Kab, those parts came in from the place you directed me to. Got it all installed and it's super nice!! Only thing is...it was a super tight fit getting it in place. The filter would barely push down past the fender edge. Once I got it past that, though, it dropped right in place. Those clamps are awesome!

My Fram Filter must be smaller than the Napa Mod as mine fits loose behind the battery on the fender well on my 99. I also changed the ccv intake pipe with a 22.5 degree after doing my ccv mod and it seems to be less restrictive and lessen the risk of leaks.
