I purchased a Lock Rite Power Trax and will install it myself.
I think I get all of it except that I have a full floating 1989 10 1/4 rear end. I believe (I've not taken it apart yet) that instead of a lock bolt holding the pinion shaft, there may be a roll pin that keys the pinion shaft in place.
Can the roll pin be reused or does it need to be replaced?
You could reuse it, or go to the hardware store and buy a new one that matches. I would get a new on since they aren't expensive. Don't worry, they really are easy to install.

If you do not have one do buy the proper punch to drive old pin out because with proper punch, you can reuse pin if it look fine otherwise.
Like you all have said it is a pretty straight forward installation. Just read the directions a couple of times.
Nice product and seems to work at least as well as a Detroit Locker I once had.
About seven years ago I filled the case with Valvoline Synthetic. When I drained it out for this job I used a clean drain pan. The stuff looked like the day I put it in and there was no evidence of wear anywhere so when I was finished I put the same oil back in the case. Saved $30 bucks.
I'am still interested in a lockright for my 95 F-450 but I'am still wondering if the rear end would grenade with 8000lbs on the back of the truck. The truck has a Dana 80 but when you got that much weight riding on the tires with both axle shafts locked together what will let go.
