351M Issues
i just got this truck yesterday and and got a new battery and had it running, well it runs really rough at an idle and midway through, but when its running 3/4 to wide open, it runs hard and like a champ, i also noticed that it starts hard like timing is off, could this be an issue, the truck sat for awhile but the previous owner said it did the same thing, changed the carb and no change any and all help is appreciated

I suppose you did a basic tune-up?It sounds like flooding but you already swaped the carb.So I would check the timing ,and look / listen for unknown vacume leaks.My truck did the same thing except it also stalled out at 60-65 mph.I found vacume leaks and set the timing and all was well untill
a blown head gasket.I wasnt driving it hard.(that day)
