I need some suggestions. I cannot get the bolts out of the front fenders that hold on the grill. I realize that after 30 years they are rusted. I have tried everything to get them off, any ideas. I would be more than willing to cut or break them off but they are in such a tight space Im not sure how to go about doing it Please, if anyone knows a way, let me know
Thanks,
Jeff
Depends on the condition of the bolt heads. I'f there not rounded off already, try the "PB-Blaster". I'm guessing theres no way to get an impact wrench in there, because thats what I'd sugest first if you could. :-bang
impact, wd-40, 300lbs friend, everything. I can't get in there with a torch without destroying the grill. the funny thing is I can get them loose one or tow turns maybe and thats it. I am pulling my hair out, well if I had any I would
Thanks
Jeff
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 20-Dec-01 AT 09:02 PM (EST)]If I remember correctly the bolts go through the grill and into some clips that are on the fenders. Could you break the clips? You would want to put new ones in anyway. Maybe a cutoff wheel or Dremel tool?
