Junior doesn't know yet but his Christmas present is a complete efi set up from a 94 Bronco to put on his 5.8 carbed 66-f100. Now I need an education . Where (hopefully on this site ) might find schematics on this system. I need to learn as much as possible about the wiring to adapt to this old truck. I think the only other parts I will need are a fuel pump and possibly O2 sensors. ANY help or direction will be appreciated. P.S. I love a good schematic. Most of the factory schematics are so chopped up it is difficult to navigate. Thanks, Rick.
Ricky, I expect you will get better answers, but swapping as much as you can will save you in the long run, including the engine.
I wonder if you would ever pick up the enough difference in mpg to justify all that you are gonna go through trying to make this project work. Don't forget the O2 sensors in the exhaust, and the gas tank with the fuel pump and return line in it, the computer, everything.
There are a couple of guys on the 87-96 Forum that helped me a lot when I had a 92 and needed help with electronics.
I realize that a different pump and return line is necessary and that I will probably need O2 sensors. I love yhe challenge of making this a neat install but need some schematics to get started. I will try that other forum, thanks.
You may be able to save yourself some headaches by giving Painless or some other aftermarket wiring harness supplier a call. But if you like to do things yourself then I'm not much help to you. I like to do things myself, also. Good luck.
Go here...tell him Garbz sent you... Bill will make you an exact fit engine and chassis interface harness based on the parameters you set. plug and play....It will be pricey but involve no more than putting plug A into plug B
