My truck has started acting up again so I bit the bullet so to speak and ordered a 2006 F-250 Lariat CC With every avalable option and the 20" wheels in the Chrome package. I am looking at 38,998 plus tax, title, and tags. They are also giving 29,900 trade in value for mine.......

$39K for all options sounds like a smoking deal. Is that your negotiated price? Does that include a bunch of rebates or something? MSRP is is in the low $50Ks. I'm getting ready to order the same exact truck right down to the 20" wheels. I'd be interested to know how you got that price.
PSD6liter40 I noticed from your profile your from Loudon. I live in Morristown, TN and I have just found this forum dreaming of buying my first f-250. I think the new 2006 with the 20" wheels is the nicest stock truck to come out in a long time.
I have been looking on the lots and I found one Lariat CC with the FX4 and the 20" wheels and with the Keep it simple price it was about $42,000. What dealership are you getting yours from?
I Ordered my 2006 F-350 Crew Cab Lariat 4x4 6.0L in July (took delivery in August)
(along with all the goodies power moonroof, power slider rear, trailer tow mirros with integrated signals) blah blah blah... I didn't get the chrome package and I got the 18" wheels instead of 20 and MSRP was just over 50,000. They sold it to me at invoice (according to the ford website) which was like 44k and then before it came in ford extended a-plan pricing to 2006's which dropped me down to like 42k OTD. (and I didn't have chrome package or 20" wheels)
38,900 is a great deal.
Did you get 4x4?
