i have a 93 f250xlt ,whenever i use the turn signal lever to flash the headlights to pass someone ,the ABS @ check engine light come on briefly ,and the gauges move for a second i searched electrical forum and couldnt find any where to start checking help please
The easiest thing to check first is grounding. Follow your ground wire from the - of the battery. Most of these trucks have a smaller wire branching off that grounds the computer and other misc stuff. Several people have found corroded connectors and connections on this smaller ground wire.
Also check for a ground going from the engine block and/or intake manifold, to the firewall. If you can't find one, make one out of a piece of 10 guage wire. You may also want to run a ground from the engine block to the radiator support. The main ground from the battery runs to the engine block, but the engine and tranny are mounted in rubber mounts.
