AODE to AOD
I have a 95 f150 with 5.0. The aode when out cant find one where I live. I have a aod out of a Mercury with 56,000 miles . I now it will bolt up . And I have to change the shift lever from facing down to facing up. I don't see and any speedometer sensor on the aode , the mercury trans has one . Whats up here? And I probably need different drive shaft any help! I got the next two days off need to get this done this is the only thing I have to drive. Need Help , will be pulling the transmission out this morning.

Need Help , will be pulling the transmission out this morning.The AOD is shorter than the 4R70W and the crossmember is in the wrong place.
The Speed information in the 95 comes from the VSS sensor on the top of the rear end.
The PCM receives information from the 4R70W and shifts the transmission.
You will get some errors from the PCM with the AOD.
