midsized truck?
ok this is off the wall question but the rangers, s10s, dakotas are called midsized trucks what is smaller than them?
is the courior, and the chevy luv compacts?
this has been making me wonder for a while

Rangers and S10's are catagorized as compact trucks. Dakotas and tundras are a midway between compact and full size (F-150 for example). I've seen the Dakota lumped in with compacts; not sure why other than there may not be an accepted/defined midsize catagory. On the tundra, if one compares it's dimensions against Ford, Dodge, and GM's full sized offerings it will be easily seen that it's not full sized. It's just Dakota competition. The only thing smaller than compacts that comes to mind would be a VW Rabbit in an ElCamino/Ranchero style.

in the past rangers, s-10's, tacomas, and dakotas were all mini-trucks. now that toyota, chevy, and dodge made their mini's bigger, ranger unfortunately is the smallest out of 'em all. accept maybe the izzuzu! so i guess the ranger is in a kinda class of its own.
