radio swap

i have a 99 250sd and it had just a radio in it. i am looking to swap out to a cdplayer/ radio and i want to keep it factory. would a 6 disc out of a 2002 plug into my wiring harness and work? here is a link to one i found on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORD-...QQcmdZViewItem

Yes, that radio will work in your '99 SuperDuty. You will need a set of radio removel tools that you can pick up at an auto parts store for about $7 or so.

I did the same thing only I went with the single disk. I was reading that the 6 disk has alot of problems. Just somthing to think about. Oh yea look for one with the RDS button on it. That is so nice. It will tell you who is singing the song and name of song on the radio.

no ****, i have that RDS thing but never know it could do that, how the hell do you make it do that?

You have to turn it on. Then the radio stations that broadcast that info will work. I think you hold the button down and then press another button like tune or seek. Just hold the button down and press buttons till you turn it on. Mine will say RDS ON once I selected it the right way.
