Snow is Fun

Ok we had a little or a lot of snow depending on where you live. So lets hear about it, did you go out and play or stay in the warm house?

I went out and about driving in the snow, thats fun to do around here with all the hills and stuff. It was also quite interesting watching the people out and about that had no clue how to drive in the snow. Also found out that the BIi does great in this kind of conditions but it really needs a heater put back in it.

I took my brother to watch King Kong. We went in and the roads were wet and fine but when we came out 3 1/2 hours later there was several inches on every car and the roads were solidly snow packed. Had a lot of fun but I did discover that having basically drag slicks on the back of a front drive car in snow can be very interesting. Almost everytime I took a corner the car acted like it was rear drive and I was doing nice looking "power slides" in no time.

We would have had Corys truck but it developed a coolent problem. I am going out there right now to see if I can fix it. I hope it's just the upper hose but I'm affraid it's the radiator.

I think we had about 4 inches or so around here. I've only got to play in it to and from work. The streets are pretty fun by the job site. Not much traffic there. The f-150 is sitting do to a bad coil pack so I've been driving the coughGMCcough. Atleast with that truck sliding sideways into a mailbox isn't that bad. lol

I used every excuse to get my b2 out in it. Found out the 4x does work! And so does my heater! lol! I went around an uphill corner and slid sideways and couldn`t make it up. Stuck it in 4x and took off like a shot! Wish I had the locker in the back now though....weeeeeeee.

I and my brother went played for a couple hour out at jeeps club. It was fun busting threw snow banks and made the jumps intseting. Most of all it gave me excuse to get the quad out and play it hadn't left the shed since August.

I've been inside. Went out to eat for my neices birthday saturday night with the family. But today I've been inside watching football.

I've been thinking about camping out on the back patio though.

Should of been here in Manhattan. We had about 8-10 inches of the stuff. Very pretty snow for Kansas with very little wind. It was piled up on the top of the posts on our deck about 8-9 inches.

We drove home in it last night from Wamego and it wasn't bad except for the yahoo that tailgated all the way, but was too chicken to pass. I'm going to get one of those old big round bale forks for the back of the pickup and when they do that I'll put it down and hit the brakes. If they want to ride my tail, then they can have a real ride.

I worked three places yesterday so I was driving around quite a bit. Today I stuck pretty close to the house other than church.

Del, I know what you mean about people tailgating. Makes me really, really nervous when the roads are slick....I already got plowed once this year, really not interested in repeating it.

Only 3-4" here. No real challenge so no point in going out. It was a dry snow and the fun doesn't really start until it's a wet snow.

Del, I feel your pain. What I can't stand is when everybody lines up behind the snow plow and nobody will pass it. (Well, almost nobody will.)

I'd leave the hitch on, but then I forget it is there and bark my shins against the darn thing when I walk around the back of the truck. Might be worth it though for when someone gets too close.

We got about 5".. I took back roads out to the farm just to play.. (Mrs flip wasn't impressed)... Then Rode Behind Lucas and the Mighty ATV with a ski rope... it becomes a game of who can knock who off... It's fun. Dad took out the sleigh and we rode behind a horse for awhile. Then go in for Chili and Hot chocolate... Open Loot and play with the toys the kids get. Typical Christmas stuff for us

We got around 5"-6" round here, spent alot of time pushing the stuff around. Brought home an old hood from one of the 99 F450's and drug the kids around the block with the sploder had a blast!!! Doesn't look like it will stick around til x-mas though so a white x-mas aint gonna happen this year

What you didn't get the combine/snowplow out. LOL

Sounds like everyone got to have some fun with this and some even made good money from it. I saw that on the news they said we had more snow this month then the entire year last year. Maybe this will be a good snow year for us all. Sorry to anyone whom doesn't like the snow, but for me I am just like a little kid, I get up and look out the window every morning hoping for the big snowfall so I can play.

Now I can see Jack out camping in this too. LOL
