Junkyard

Do junkyard's spray cylinder wall's on engine's that are put on the shelf (storage) ? Motor oil ,fogging oil.

im not sure. but if you have a certian yard in mind as the manager/owner or who ever is in charge.. they "should" know.

I know many junk yard owner and I can say for a fact none of them do any special prep besides poping caps over the exposed holes and draining as much of the fluids as possible.

The one I am working at has them stored iside, so on average it shouldn't need any further prep. Other places I have bought from had the motor under a lean to, which was still exposed partially, and all that was done was duct tape over the intake and exhaust, and caps on other holes. The motor was ok, but did tend to use some oil. I don't know of any yards that do put oil in their motors.
