battery size
replacing batteries in my 1992 ford7.3 there were two 750 cca. for 4 years, in the winter it gets down to -20 for days on end .does any body think that i should geta set with more cca.

The diesels need a minimum of 850 CCA each side, wally mart sells 1000 CCA pretty reasonable. I am on my second set of OEM Ford batteries 850 CCA and this is the sixth winter with them.......... We get to -45F for weeks at a time.

man! what a differance 2 new batteries makes! got 2 1150s rated at 32 but it also say 1000at 0 so i guess these will be good for a while, it started after a couple of tries but i also have a couple of glo plugs that are not working .like dave says bigger the better thanks!
