I am not here to argue or disrespect anyone's opinion or favoritetires. I am just posting personal knowledge from personal experience. but for the record. Michelin HD truck tires are made in a different plant, with diffeent technology from the light truck tires. their light truck tires are awesome for pretty much anything but gravel roads. I was simply saying that a plow is a special application, and that application is hard on everything about the truck, but the damage that is preventable can be prevented by choosing the tires carefully. Most tire warranties do not cover Commercial use, Heavy duty use, or abuse. A plow pushes a lot of weight, and the weight is often quite a bt more than the truck's payload capacity, and thus more than the tires were designed for. It is easier and cheaper to buy the tires that will stand up to the abuse first, than to go through all the others and find out they weren't the best tires. Call the local School board and municipal yard and find out what they run on their light plow trucks. I am not just talking out my butt, all the information I spout is based on experience in the tire business as well as driving and abusing trucks for a number of years. I have always tried to put Bias Ply tires on my trucks whenever possible because although noisy and resistant to rolling, they are unbelievably tough, and they are easily repaired. they also don't tend to separate as easily as Radials. That's not to say they don't separate however.
