towing mirrors

greetings, i have a 2004 f-250 and it has the towing package with it, how can i stop the mirror lites from working? i love the look of clearance lites but i don't like the mirrior turn signal lites, i don't ever tow anyways. and do the standard mirriors give as good visibilty as the towing mirors? i.e. blind spots and such, i had trouble with a blind spot on the passenger side, but i got it adjusted good, i seem to use the small mirrors more than the big ones.

my truck has the standard mirrors and my dad's has the bigger ones with the lights and all...visibility is definitely much better in the bigger mirrors. mine are fine for my regular cab but with his supercab it's almost a necessity
