I need to find a driver side sport bucket seat for my 2000 ranger. I have the 60/40 seats. The latch to let the seat back come forward broke and Ford has informed me that they don't have enough demand to manufacture the part.
So I am left to find a grey seat. Are there third party companies that make a compatible seat. I think 97-03 are the same.
car-part.com. But since you noted that all you really want is the latch, I'd try to find a well worn seat and not pay for good upholstery. 60/40 seats are dime a dozen so this should be an easy find.
Do you like the seats or have you thought about changing them out for ones that are more comfortable? I know my Mazda seats aren't all the great and have thought about changing them out.
Could switch out the 60/40 for Exploder buckets as well. Not too expensive, fun little mod, you can add the centre console (if you have a column auto) and the overhead console as well. Provided you don't need the middle seat of course.
If you do, just find a 60/40 with a handle and take the handle. They are all over the place and really cheap.
