Hello Members,
New to group and was hoping to find some oil pressure specs. for a 302 in an 89 f-150.
See lots of posts about low oil pressure in this motor but can't find specs. anywhere.
Also, can rod bearings be done easily enough by pulling the oil pan?
FYI, replacing oil pump with a high volume pump and switching to a 10w-40 and Motorcraft filter made almost no difference in pressure.

a hi volume pump in a stock motor is a waste of time. what is your oil pressure at and are you using a mechanical oil pressure gauge? the stock gauges are not accurate at all. idle should be no less then 10-20lbs driving should be 30-40lbs this is of course with a warmed up motor.
