King Kong!

Has anyone seen it yet? My wife and I just got back. It is a long movie at just over 3 hours, but I definitley recommend it. The first hour is a bit slow, but once it gets going it is action packed and has some really good effects.

Cool! I love King Kong! I'm still waiting for a version where Kong knocks the crap out of everyone and swims back home!

King Kong rocked! Awesome effects and scenes that blew me away.

Oye, I was going to talk about some of the scenes, but I don't want to ruin it for anyone.

Awesome movie.

If its another version of a large animal being dragged away from his home and dying a violent death, I'm not really interested.

No, this is the politically correct one we've all been waiting for. He actually ends up running for congress and spear heads an animal protection movement.

Exceeded my expectations greatly, I really enjoyed the movie even knowing what would happen in the end. This is mushy but I liked the whole connection between man (in this case, woman) and beast. I know if someone tried to hurt my dog they would be in a heap of trouble - we serve out justice a little tougher in Texas than most places.

I saw it. Got bored. They could have easily cut an hour out and it wouldn't have affected the story one bit. Aside from that, it was a good movie. I was impressed at the CGI work.

Kong even worked the T-Rex jaw bone like the 1933 original. Lots of homage paid to the original, although I never heard the "blondes are scarce around here" line on Skull Island.

A bit overlong, but exciting. Don't go if you are afraid of heights. Never seen so many cliffs......

I never saw the original, but I liked this one. I knew how it was supposed to end, but I was still sad.

This morning, my wife said Naomi Watts should win an award for her performance. I'm thinking, are you nuts? She hardly had any lines. Basically it was "look scared, run like you're scared, fall like you're scared, scream lots."

But I could see how she might win for her convincing connection with Kong.

I thought the "stampede" was funny. And the 3 T-rex showdown was cool.
