anyone have any idea on how to lower the egr
flow. I keep getting a 402 code that says my egr
is allowing to much exhaust gas thru
have thought about a plate with maybe a smaller hole
to allow less flow
inside of valve and all visable passages are clean as a
whistle. no carbon, not even any soot
must be running clean
valve opens and closes with vacuum pump properly
wonder with all the code questions if a forum dedicated to them would be possible

I like the idea of a forum just for troubleshooting efi and code sources. Maybe one for obd I 83-95 engines and one for 96-new obd II engines. Efi deserves it's own circle for the unique problems(challenges) that arrise.
ive been having problems with my 86 thunderbird it has the 302 in it, it came up with code 31 which was the egr. took it off, abunch of carbon build up on it, cleaned it put it back on, ran worse, what is this block off plate someone mentioned, where would i get it? does it harm anything? and is it a cheap buy or would i be better off making my own?
hmm ill see what i can find, dont got much stuff to cut metal with besides a hack saw, i was told i could use a pop can as a temperary plate if i cut it, just to see if that helps, or would that fail fast and should i just get the plate?
