Whats causing my vibration?
I just purchased a 1996 F-250 4x4. When driving it has a bad vibration that comes and goes from 35 to 55. If I let off the gas it goes away almost completely. I got new tires mounted & balanced, and had them check all u-joints, which they said were fine. It does not matter if front hubs are locked or unlocked. Please help me lcate and fix.

If your rig has a carrier bearing make sure to check that. Check the engine and tranny mounts for any loose bolts or supports. If the driveshaft was removed for any reason it might not have been put back exactly the way it should have. I would have a serious talk with the former owner about the driveline issues and if he had any type of repair done. Maybe thats why he sold it.
