Did you ever find the filler hole? Mine has developed a leak and I would like to check the fluid level.

The filler plug is easy located once you take the front drivers tire off.

The fill plug is on the drivers side of the case about pinion level right behind the front cover. If the moan wasn't there before the shaft replacement I don't think fluid level is the problem.
