How much does a 76 Explorer weigh?

I'm using the running gear out of a 76 LB Explorer (360, C6, A/C) to fill out a 66 project (sorry guys, the 76 is eat up with rust). Can anyone tell me the weight of my 76? The 360 has been rebuilt and runs great, I just want some info on how much less weight the engine will have to pull. Thanks

Best guess is about 4000 lbs.

Do you not have a local metal junk yard or something like that to drive over their scale to find out exactly ?

My 77 weighs 4480 with 1/4 tank of fuel, 460/C6 and 9" rearend. No a/c.

I've uninsured it and begun the tear-down, and the nearest scale is a long drive. The 360 was rebuilt and runs good, it just seemed burdened in the 76. Thanks for the info.
