int. windshield wiper switch
I bought a intermittant wiper switch to replace my two switch original. But I found out later I need to get a governor control box also. Does anybody know where I can find a governor control box?

Ford's last asking price on it was $135.00 which to me is way to pricey.That's a $135.00 Canadian BTW.

I see there is one on ebay here tonight, but it runs out New Years Day. When I looked at it the price was $36 for the switch and the box. Here is the item number if you want to check it out. Item # 599677685.

[font color=red size=2]I'd just go to a salvage yard and get one. They are the same from '73 through at least '91 (maybe even '96). I got one out of a '81 Bronco and it plugged right into my '73 F100. They were fairly common on the newer trucks.

I don't where you heard this but,only the 73-76 use the same part.
The 77-79 are the same part.
80-86 are the same.
They are Not interchangable as far as 73-96 is concerned.
The harnessing is slightly different.Otherwise, the units from Cars would work too.
I couldn't get a 75 or an 84 switch /governor to work on my 78,only the 77-79 works.
The switches from the cars won't work either.
Been there, tried it, got the movie.
