First of all, welcome to FTE from Canyon Lake, Texas! Second, I don't know of a lot you can do to improve the gas mileage of a 460. I would imagine that better intake and exhaust would free up some power that doesn't have to be used to move the truck. Driving habits are always a big contributer, also. I'm sure if it can be done, you will get some answers from this site. Good luck & enjoy!

Cut off the intake silencers. They are the trumpet looking part of the plastic idle air crossover piece. They are hidden in the intake plumbing. Remove the whole piece to cut off the silencers. Then get a K&N filter to replace the stock one. These mods will get you a little better gas mileage if you can keep your foot out of it. You will notice a performance increase. This is as cheep as you can get.

As mentioned above, with the exception of the K&N replacement filter. If you are going to get any noticable improvement with the filter, you should go with the K&N FIPK filter. You can get just the FIPK replacement filter and make it work pretty easily without actually buying the entire FIPK package (which is outragously priced). You also get a nice sucking noise from the big FIPK cone filter to let you know more air is coming in.
