For Kansas Chapter members only

I would like to temporarily reallocate the Ks. chapter funds for a family emergency but I feel I should get your thoughts on this. It will go to a good cause. I don't feel comfortable about naming any names here nor would i want the family to feel uncomfortable either.
There is a balance of $268.

It is going to a family that would do the same for each of us.

So what do you guys say?

Post here your thoughts.
Time is of the essence too!!!

Mark

If you think it is for a good cause I am up for it. Aren't we all a family anyway? Thats what families do for each other.

Will that be enough? If it's for a chapter member and they are in need can we send in more? Weather we use the chapter funds or not I'd like to send what I have to spare if it will help.

Can you post the address again like you did for the Christmas Party payment? Some my want to send something but might want to remain unknown. What items are needed? Just in case folks could help out in that way.

Sorry for all the questions. I'll send you an e-mail.

I too agree that if there is a need, particularly if it is a chapter member that we do it. A suggestion, maybe we could consider having a "board" of several members to act on these kind of issues on behalf of the members. It could include the CL, Treas, and 3 other at large members. That way the decision, good or bad doesn't fall on one or two members.

I think sending the funds is the right thing to do... and if more is needed then I would like to send a little more... I don't have much, but sometimes every little bit helps. I remeber a few somebodies generiously passing a hat for me last year in KC, and repayimng that kindness in someway, especially within the chapter, would make me feel good.

I will be depositing a check into the chapter account to get this family out of immed. danger. In order to keep there names private, You can send the extra funds to FTE Ks. Chapter. I will put it into the account and distribute it from there.

I agree that a board should be set up. And in a way, it was. Tony Meeks called me last night and we discussed it. LOL Anyway, We should use the Chapter account for a means to keep things private. Unfortunatly, some of us have to know.

Anyway, this is Christmas folks! Lets help this family get back on there feet!!!

Could I get the address for the KS chapter? I remember we had one for the Christmas party payments but I no longer have it or know where to get it.
