I am looking into buying a 69 F250 360 NP435 without PS or PB. It has 4 drums. How much of a hassle is it to drive a truck without PS? I went to drive it tonight only to find the the recently kitted carb came with a bad accelerator pump.
Next question, if I do buy it, I have a 72 F100 360 auto with ps and power drums thats not driveable because of body damage. Would it be possible to switch everything over by just bolting up? Will the column work since I would be going from auto to manual floor shift? What about the actual steering linkage is it different on the power and non power 1/2 and 3/4 trucks? Would the brake booster and master bolt right up if I ran vaccuum lines?
Thanks
Aaron
It shouldn't be too hard to switch everything over, the parts are just about all interchangable between the two years. You would have to change steering columns for the PS I know that much. But it's not terribly difficult. So it's all very possible.
