Thinking about a sunroof...

I have a 1975 ford f350 that used to be a tow truck. There are wholes on the roof of the truck from where the lights and antennas used to be. I was thinking about removing the butchered area and replacing it with an aftermarket sunroof. I am aware of the risks of leaks, etc. Any suggestions?

Nothing wrong with an aftermarket sunroof as long as you use sealant and are careful during installation not to cut existing wires (i.e. dome light). Other than the nerve-wracking aspect of cutting a huge hole in the roof.... heh-heh, it's an easy job. I've installed two pop-ups on vehicles I've owned over the years, as well as transplanted one mid 90's town-car powered roof off a junked car, into a friend's Chevy 3500 crewcab. Came out nice, and looked factory too.
