PS pump question:
Well I just completed swapping in a 460 in place of my 400 on my '78 F250 SC 4x4. I ended up using the PS pump & brackets off of a '74 lincoln 460 (donor van 460 brackets were not available...).
My question is that on the back of the PS pump there is a place to thread in the high pressure hose as expected. BUT, there are (2) nipples that you can slip on a hose. I know one of them is the return line from the PS gear, but what is the other one used for? One of them goes in the back of the pump near the bottom, the other goes in the back of the pump near the center of the pump.... Why are there two return lines????? Is one not a return line?
The engine was out of the car on the floor of the junk yard shop...so I wasn't able to see the car it came out of....
