Ken, I think you made a mistake here. In order to change this #194 bulb, the transmission must be dropped. Next, loosen the LS (left side) motor mount. The RS (right side) motor mount must be completely removed. Tilt engine slightly. Driveshaft and U-Joint must be out also. Then, change #194 bulb. Installation, is the reverse of what I said. Ed (just kidding!!! ).
I was thinking about suggesting the factory method you suggest, but the home brew technique I USED SEEMED TO WORK. Not normal aero level of work, but what the heck. Thank the deity, this guy does not have awd.

KEN, little did I realize my first post about dropping the trans, removing motor mounts, etc. is what the dealer Service Dept. will do to change the bulb! Of course you'll get the "revised work order" when you pick your vehicle up. Smelling salts sitting on the service cashier counter is cause for concern. Here's a tip: If the Ford Service Dept. Writer OWNS and DRIVES a brand new bright red w/ white stripe 2006 Ford GT-40, you might want to go elsewhere, especially if he is paid on strict commission for the service work he sells!...
