I no longer have Progressive insurance because of this and I've got great news I saved a bunch of money by switching to you know who...
moderator... if this is out of line with what is acceptable to post, then remove it...I just thought it was important to let people know what their premiums are helping to pay for...thanks, brad
I didn't know anything about that but just dropped Progressive last week, 2 days before my wreck. I found a much better rate elsewhere but no, not with the gecko.
I just didnt like them for not covering a claim on my mustang now I really hate them and hate is a strong word thaanks Ill spread that around its amazing what goes on in backstage in america appreciate ya! P.S. I have the lizard thing but its really cheap
I hate State Farm just due to the fact that they really tried to screw me some years back on a settlement. State Farm has about the worst reputation of any insurance company when it comes time to pay for claims. They use really dirty tactics to try to disprove their liability for damages. I had to fight for months to get my settlement, which should have been a lot more than I got, and I still had a lot of smart *** comments from the adjuster to deal with. If I didn't have such a bad perception of jail time I would have popped that turd right in the mouth.
Due to my former insurance companys incompetance I was recently looking for a new company and the choices boiled down to Allstate, Progressive and State Farm. Ended up taking out a policy with State Farm yesterday. Had I decided to take out a policy with Progressive or Allstate, I would not cancel just cause of this, not that I condone it or anything, just for the simple fact that I am paying them to insure my cars and if they do that effectivily I dont care what happens to the money. I would be paying them for a service and if they provide it, than no worries. I wonder what attack they have against Allstate. This sounds a lot like that Procter and Gamble B.S. that went around a few years ago that turned out false.

Farmers Insurance Group here for the last 18 years straight. Nobody can beat the prices and unless I cause an accident of untold proportions, I cannot/will not be cancelled. Something like only .5% of their customers get this .
HMMMM, since when does the ACLU want to make child **** legal? Never heard that one before. By the way I am not a supporter of ACLU. I have to agree with bigdaddy, sounds like someone making something up. Maybe they didn't pay out a claim and this is someones way of getting back at them. I had them several years ago and had some hail damage on my car, they came to my work, looked it over handed me a check and fixed me up in about 10 minutes. I even pointed out a couple of door dings and the adjuster said "looks like hail damage to me" and smiled.
So let me see if I understand this correctly. Because some guy gave $8 million of his own personal money to an organization that these people don't like, the AFA wants every Progressive employee, broker, and their employees to suffer? That's just stupid. Or do they not realize who would really feel the brunt of large scale revenue loss by Progressive. It's definitely not going to be the billionaire at the top.
Think I'll forward this to the good folks at snopes. Perhaps its bs. I don't know. But like EnviroCon said, its his money. Yes he made it through Progressive but these type of idiotic campaigns just waste time. Do the people at AFA really think they're going to accomplish anything? They're just using it to push their own agenda.
