4x4 hub problem/?

I have a '93 F-150 4x4, 5.0L, 5-speed. Today I went to unlock my manual hubs, and when I unlocked the passenger side hub, the whole cap assembly is able to be pushed in and out. The 4x4 engages/disengages and works correctly, it just seems to me that the cap assembly should be snug and not able to move. What do I need to repace to fix this.
Thanks in advance.

Pull the cap off and take a look. The cap attaches the hub, which is held in place by 2 snap-rings.1 small,on axle shaft itself and 1 bigger, which holds it in the rotor itself.Hope this helps,it would be easier to show you than try and explain.

When you take the cap off, as suggested by SRD, the problem may be obvious. If not, open up the other side to see if there is anything different. Use the good side sort of as a guide. Good luck.
