Wires
You are a brutal mechanic! You must be more sensitive when working on your manly ford truck. I know, we all love to rev up our trucks and burn the tires. But for goodness sakes, is this really the way we should be beating on our trucks? We are all blessed just for owning something as sacred as a ford truck, not to mention a vintage vehicle.
Cowboy, Let me guess:
When you changed your plugs, you simply reached down and grasped the plug wire about an inch above the boot and pulled either straight or slightly off straight. This in turn caused the majority of your plug wires to tear, and or, break.
Next time:
Twist the spark plug boot clockwise or counter clockwise. When you feel the boot break loose then reach down to where you think the metal clip is and slowly pull it off the plug. It will work every time.
Good Luck, Have Fun,
KingFisher
