Two questions

First would like to say hello from a new user!

I just rebuilt my 93 F150 302 FI. After re-install, it misses at idle, and under inital acceleration, but then clears up & seems to run fine. Any ideas on this?

Second, since the re-install, my battery idiot light is lit on the left of the steering wheel, but volt guage is in normal range, and it is charging at 14.2 volts at the battery. Any idea what I might have done/not done to cause this light to stay on?

Thanks in Advance,

Ken F

Recheck the connections to the positive batt terminal. There might be an extra wire that isn't connected. I would try to check the computer codes also.

Thanks fordberg, will do, and it looks like I need to read some guidelines too.

As fordberg said, check those codes! That's always the best place to start, and might give you some info on the miss. I tend to agree with fordberg also on the wire not being connected, but I'm kinda thinking it's a ground wire that didn't get reconnected. I think there's one that bolts to the back of the intake plenum, I'd take a look at that one and look for any others that may be off. EFI systems are touchy and like all those wires where they belong to work properly. I take it you didn't have this problem before the rebuild?
